slow cooker

I will be making irish stew today in the slow cooker e and I got for xmas.
Never had to take 8 hours to make/bake something, so this should be interesting.

Apparently no peeking cause you have to keep the juices in to cook it properly.
1 1/2 cups of Guinness is the secret recipe.
I'll tell you how it comes out.

farm fresh

got a dozen corn from the market. Just picked this morning.

Omg. Talk about heavenly.

I will corn myself out in the next few weeks - only until the vendor runs out cause after labour day, they are gone until next season!

Tried freezing them last year - not a success story.

but I'm off to have another ear. Or two.

Oh sometimes it's the small joys in life that are worth living for.
